Imagine a 70s Italian Erotic/Arthouse film starring a nun cursed by a satanic cult and titled “Le Perverse Notti Di Sangue Nel Convento della Croce Abbandonata”. The bloody and perverse nights in the abandoned cross convent.
Imagine a U.S. distributor who, to sell the film to Grindhouse theatres, makes a new cut, with a new soundtrack, and new scenes where the nun turns into a werewolf, and there you have “Wolfnun.”
Now think of a version of the same film sold in Japan focusing only on the handful of nuns fighting the evil cult, and you have “Holy Furies!”
Now imagine that all copies of the film, in all three versions, have been lost: there are only a few reels and a few trailers remaining. That’s what Wolfnun is: a desperate attempt to reconstruct this lost film by assembling all available materials to recreate a more or less coherent plot.
